IN BED is committed to building a business that is respectful, inclusive and welcoming.
We do not tolerate discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, ability, age or background. We believe that creativity and community are strengthened by diverse voices, perspectives and lived experiences.
Below are the commitments that guide our work.
Representation & Collaboration
We aim to reflect a broad and diverse community across our content, casting and creative partnerships.
This includes the people we collaborate with; photographers, writers, stylists, models and contributors, as well as the stories and homes we choose to share through our Journal and campaigns.
As a small, independent business, we approach this thoughtfully and intentionally, continuing to widen the perspectives represented across our platforms.
We ‘Pay The Rent’ and have set up an ongoing monthly donation to support First Nations people.
We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional custodians of the land on which we live and run our business. IN BED operates on land that was taken from the Gadigal people and have committed to ‘paying the rent’ each month by setting up a monthly recurring donation to paytherent.net.au
Learning & Responsibility
Creating an inclusive business requires continual reflection.
We are committed to ongoing learning, deepening our understanding of the histories, communities and systems that shape the environments in which we operate.
We aim to approach our work with cultural sensitivity, curiosity and accountability.
Hiring & Opportunities
When we recruit or engage collaborators, we strive to ensure our opportunities are open, fair and inclusive.
We are committed to equitable hiring practices and to working with individuals and businesses from a range of backgrounds and experiences.
