A Study in Style: Four Homes, Four Perspectives
Some homes speak in texture and tone. Others in colour, memory, and movement. The stories gathered here move through four interior sensibilities; modern minimalist, light & lofty, eclectic, and warm & familial. Whatever your style, let these homes (and their subjects) be your guide on how to truly embody a space, and make it your own.

Eclectic: An Interior Stylist's Mountaintop Treasure Trove
In her own words, interior stylist Paloma Tooth's home is in a constant ‘state of play’, illustrated through miniature furniture, hand-painted striped walls, a tomato-red four poster bed with leopard print trim, a high-gloss floor finish that once resembled an indoor pool. The dream-like setting the freelance interior stylist, her husband & woodworker Lucas and their son Raphael find themselves in floats high up in the Blue Mountains in NSW’s Katoomba. An IN BED alumni - Paloma worked at our Paddington flagship during her studies - seeing her family’s sanctuary now fills us with joy: an other worldly space limited only by their imagination.

Light & Lofty: The Scandinavian Home of a Stylist & Creative Director
After purchasing their apartment in 2023, the Stylist & Creative Director behind pi.su.family & Mold Atelier, Linda Christiansen & Mikal Murstad Strøm immediately set about renovating, and the result: a lesson in true Nordic style. Warm wood, natural light, and crushed white linens abound, just as texture and their thoughtful (yet minimal) ornaments add whimsy and personality. It is also a space that is flexible to the demands of family life: revolving artwork and a Togo sofa that finds a new home weekly. We couldn’t wait to find out more about this effortless Scandi aesthetic, Linda & Mikal’s myriad creative pursuits, and where to find the best cardamom buns in Oslo.

Warm & Familial: A Family's Modernist Home Among the Gumtrees
Surrounded by nature and mid-century architecture, Subtle Bodies founders Courtney Gibbs and Tommy Ashby have created a beautiful home on Melbourne’s outskirts. Here, they live with their two daughters, Aurelia and Paloma among towering native trees, which sprung into bloom just in time for our visit. While the house carries the unmistakable scent of incense, the couple's creativity runs even deeper. Courtney is also a designer and project manager in the field of architecture, while Tommy co-founded Wombat, an electric cargo bike business. Together, they have shaped a modernist space grounded in the warmth of timber, cosy linen beds and a restored outdoor table made for long lunches. After our shoot, we too lingered here, sharing fresh bread from the local bakery and stories about their time in Los Angeles and the slower rhythm they’ve discovered in this peaceful pocket of Lower Plenty.

Modern Minimalist: An Architectural Dwelling on the Great Ocean Road
The home of architect Jeremy Anderson is a lesson in restraint. Located in Jan Juc, along the rugged Victorian coastline it rises from the bushland; perfectly and purposefully designed. On a blustery morning, we pay a visit to Jeremy’s most prized project in the Eldridge Anderson portfolio, the family home he shares with wife, Claire and their daughter Elki. Here, we learn how their home has shifted with the seasons (both by life, and the elements) - and his current projects: each one beginning ‘as a conversation with the land’.
